The Bovasin Outdoor Chronicles
We promise to bring our passion, expertise, and sense of humor to every episode (but we can't promise we won't get lost or accidentally set our tent on fire... again). Each episode, we share stories from our hunting and fishing escapades, offer our two cents on the current issues, and provide a platform for discussing key topics with local expert guests. Whether you're rushing to fish a stream after work, taking your gun dog out on the weekend, or embarking on your annual hunting trip, you'll find something to connect with, learn, or enjoy along with us. We know that outdoor adventures can be unpredictable, and we've had our fair share of mishaps and embarrassing moments, but we take our responsibility as outdoorsmen seriously and promote responsible outdoor recreation and conservation efforts. We make sure to share our adventure but not our location.

From Tracks to Nothing: The Frustration of a Dry Hunting Season
In this episode, the Bovasin Crew recounts the ups and downs of a hunting season full of missed opportunities and unexpected challenges. Late-season antelope hunts found the team too late to harvest one with horns, as most had already shed. Long days spent tracking elk led to little more than old sign, and mule deer numbers were disappointingly low. Jared recounts missing a solid buck, with Holly providing plenty of lighthearted ribbing. The frustration hit its peak one morning as other hunters dashed ahead into a prime spot, leaving the crew trekking all day with little fresh sign. Just as hope began to fade, a mature bull finally appeared at sunset—on the last night of the weekend before they had to return to town for work. It’s a candid look at what makes hunting both maddening and rewarding.
